For the media

Stephen Bezruchka has written about population health issues for a variety of publications including Newsweek, local newspapers(US child health issues), as well as academic journals where he was the first to use the term health Olympics.

His perspective is sought after on public television by Democracy Now and on international radio by Alternative Radio where he is one of the most popular speakers  and by local radio programs, such as Line One Your Health Connection by Dr. Thad Woodard.

He is sought out as a speaker for a variety of groups from the homeless to public health departments to international conferences and doctors.  His presentation on the biology of inequality at the November 2010 meetings of the American Public Health Association was well received.  Supplementary materials are available at that site including a college textbook chapter on this material as well as a paper on the large health inequities in the United States and the slides of the presentation.
